We started back in 1931 when the company was first called Australian Pines and Products Limited. The site was known as “Woodlands” and the goal was to grow softwood for pulp as part of Australia’s early efforts to plant more forests. It was the beginning of something much bigger.
A lot has changed since then. What began as a single plantation has grown into one of the largest privately owned forestry operations in the southern hemisphere. The softwood we produce now gets used in all sorts of industries, like building, furniture making and heavy-duty industrial work.
Of course, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. We’ve had to deal with fires, economic ups and downs, new ways of planting trees and the pressure of a changing global market. But we’ve kept going. Our focus on sustainability and doing things properly has helped us stay strong and keep improving, year after year.
Today, we continue this proud tradition under our new
name, River Pine Products. The name might be different, but what we
stand for hasn’t changed. We’re committed to supplying high-quality,
sustainably grown softwood right here in Australia.
